GIEPA Conducts Sector-Specific Training for the Gambia Red Cross Society

GIEPA in collaboration with the Inclusive Growth Promotion and Institutional Support Project (IGPISP) provided entrepreneurship training to Red Cross link of Serrekunda Central from the 11^th -13^th March 2024 at NACCUG Hall. The training brings volunteers of different startup category; aspiring entrepreneurs, startups in Tech, Fashion, electronics etc. 

The Gambia Red Cross Society plays a vital role in providing humanitarian assistance and supporting vulnerable communities nationwide. However, as the aid and development landscape evolve, there is a growing recognition of the importance of empowering communities through sustainable initiatives such as entrepreneurship. The sector-specific training initiative presents a valuable opportunity to enhance the capacity and impact of the Gambia Red Cross Society in addressing the evolving needs of the communities it serves. By equipping members with entrepreneurial skills and fostering a culture of innovation and self-reliance. 

The Red Cross can be pivotal in driving sustainable development and resilience building across The Gambia. Collaboration with GIEPA and IGPISP will be instrumental in ensuring the success and sustainability of this endeavor.
